Posted at findagrave.com: Son of Walter and Donna (Baych) Neuman. Jerold "Jerry" Neuman, 75, died at his home on Feb. 20, 2016. Neuman was born in Fairbank, Iowa, on Sept. 23, 1940, the son of Walter and Donna (Baych) Neuman. He married Llona Mask in September of 1963. She and one son, Mark, died in November of 1964. Neuman married Diane Purdy on June 15, 1968 and they have been married for 47 years. He went to work for John Deere in 1972 and retired in 2000.He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cards and most of his family.

He is survived by his wife, son Jeff (Melody) Neuman, Joleen (Dave) Neuman; three brothers, Lawrence of Independence; John (Susie) of Athens, Mich.; and Tom Neuman, Waterloo; four sisters, Glorai Stout of St. Louis; Nancy (Cliff) McFarland of La Porte City; Carol Pettengill of Moorhead, Minn. and Patty (Monty) Martin, Sabin, Minn.; two brothers-in-law, Lee Purdy, La Porte City; and Gary (Nicki) Purdy, of Mount Auburn; mother-in-law Mabel Purdy, La Porte City; three grandchildren: Sean Dulin (Tabbi); Seth Dulin (Abby); Shay Dulin, (Glorianna); two great-grandchildren, Bryson Dulin and Delaney Dulin; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, brother, Michael, two brothers-in-law Randy Pettingill and Ed Stout. A celebration of life will be at the Community Center, 301 First St., La Porte City, Saturday, Feb. 27 from Noon until 4 p.m. Published in Cedar Valley Daily Times on Feb. 23, 2016.
