She was born on February 10, 1926 in Henryetta, OK. She was predeceased by her son Gordon W. Ogilvie. Survived by her daughter Rebecca Andreen, son Larry Ogilvie, sister Angie Rose Ogilvie, 3 grandchildren Deanna, Nicole and Nicolas, and 2 great grandchildren Isabelle and Lila.
She was raised in Harmony Arkansas and came to Phoenix with her husband (Garland) in the late 40's. She took pride in serving the public as a cashier all of her adult life. Her efficiency and down to earth warm and spunky nature always made her a favorite with her customers and employers. She worked for Bashas at Osborn and 7th Ave. in the fifties and early sixties, Bayless at Glendale and 7 St. in the seventies. In the eighties, she was the first woman hired by Pep Boys in Phoenix and worked at the Camelback store. When she retired in the nineties, she became a beloved personality with the West Valley Singles. The last eight years of her life she was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church at Camelback and 31st Ave. Her most outstanding character trait was her unending generosity and compassion for those in need. Visitation at 10:00 AM and Funeral service at 11:00 AM Wednesday April 30, 2003 at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary, 7924 N. 59th Ave. Glendale.
Interment to follow at Resthaven Park Cemetery 6209 W. Northern Ave.
