Hays Daily News, Hays, Kansas, Thursday, April 5, 1973, Page 3, Col. 3: Hill City---Ernest Ohman, 75, a retired farmer and long time resident of the Hill City area, died at the Graham County Hospital there late Tuesday night, following a long illness. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nell, March 25.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Grace Lutheran Church in Hill City, the Rev. John C. Broggard officiating. Burial will be in the Hill City cemetery. Family and friends may call at the Spencer Chapel in Hill City until 1 p.m. Friday. A memorial to the Graham County Historical Society has been established in Ohman's name.

Survivors include one son, Ernest Jr. of Hill City; three daughters, Mrs. Donna Jean Beetem, Junction City; Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Granett, Gresham, Ore.; and Mrs. E. Phyllis Joan Hix, Oxford, Nebr. One brother, Carl, of Garden Grove, Calif.; two sisters, Miss Edith Ohman of Salina and Mrs. Mildred Kirkpatrick of McPherson; 14 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
