Minerva Wine
(7 Mar 1858 - 21 Jan 1936)
Obituary of Minerva Wine Wolf, from the Unionville, Putnam Co., Missouri Library. Unknown name of newspaper. 29 Jan. 1936. Minerva Wine Wolf was born in Butler, Bates county, Missouri on March 7, 1958, and departed this life at the family home in Sherman township, Putman county, Missouri, Jan. 21, 1936 at the age of 78 years, 10 months, 21 days. She was united in marriage with Ezra Wolf on July 1, 1879. He preceded her in death on April 4, 1932. Five children were born to their marriage. Two preceded mother in death --one infant child, and Newton, who died September 11, 1924. The living children are---Nome Wolf of Ashland, Ore.; Mrs. Lura Durbin of Unionville; and William of the home who, with the assistance of his sister who left her home in care of husband and children, tenderly and devotedly stayed by and cared for their mother all through her last illness. Mrs. Wolf is survived in death by her three children, 10 grandchildren, two great grand children, one daughter-in-law, wife of the deceased son, Mrs. Nella Wolf of Promise City, Iowa, who came and assisted in caring for her during her last illness, other relatives, and a community of friends that dearly loved her for her real worth as a home loving Christian neighbor. Her home was always open for all neighbors and friends. She made no difference who they were, they were all her friends and she loved them and made them welcome in her home. She united with the Christian church at Butler, Mo., when thirteen years of age. Coming to the present home many years ago, she placed her church membership in the Union church congregation. She was of those unassuming home loving christian women a devoted mother and wife, a real home maker. To know her was to love her. She will be greatly missed by loved ones and friends. Funeral services were held Saturday, January 25th, at the union church in charge of J. D. Noland, a former pastor. The body was laid to rest in the Union church cemetery by the side of her husband.
