Obituary of Lucille K. Hays from Jackson County Sun, no date: Lucille Kaland Hays, of Gray Hawk, KY, was born September 12, 1916 in Cedar Grove, Wisconsin and departed this life Monday, January 20, 2003 at the Jackson Manor Nursing Home, in Annville, being 86 years of age. She was the daughter of Joe and Cornelia Kaland TerMaat. Lucille is survived by her husband, Ed Hays of Gray Hawk, KY and by two sons, Phillip Hays and his wife, Elizabeth of Campbellsville, KY and Dr. David Hays, and his wife Patti, of Gray Hawk, KY. She was blessed with five grandchildren, Jessica, Olivia, Philip Edward, David James and Nathan. In addition to her parents, Lucille was preceded in death by a brother, Lloyd TerMaat and by two sisters, Cornelia and Josie TerMaat. Lucille was a retired schoolteacher and was a member of the Gray Hawk Reformed Church. Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 22, 2003 at the Gray Hawk Reformed Church with Bro. Carroll deForest and Bro. Russell Nunn officiating. Burial followed in the Hays Cemetery in Gray Hawk. Lakes Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers was [were] friends of the family.
