Chitwood, passed away Wednesday Dec. 31, 1997, at the Anna Marie Nursing Home in North August, S. C. Ms. Carey retired from the C.T.V. Company and was formerly employed by McDonnell Douglas Aircraft.

The funeral services were conducted in the chapel of the Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia, S.C. Friday, Jan. 2 at 4 p.m. Graveside services were conducted in the Parrott Family Cemetery at Parrott Branch Saturday, Jan. 3, at 4:45 p.m. with Rev. Earl Hammons officiating. The Knox Funeral Home was in charge of local arrangements.
