Corbin Times Tribune, Corbin, Kentucky, Monday, October 6, 1980, Page 8, Col. 5: Lester Parrott, 71, of Cranes Nest, died Sunday in the Knox County General Hospital. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Barbourville.

Survivors include his wife, Myrtle Parrott of Cranes Nest; one daughter, Betty Copas of Friendship, Ohio; two sons, Winston Parrott of Cranes Nest and Larry Parrott of Harlan; one sister-in-laws, Mrs. John S. Parrott of Pineville and Mrs. T. E. Parrott of Bush; six grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Hampton Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. M. A. Reese and the Rev. Finley Barnett officiating. Pallbearers will be James Thompson, Gillis Barnett, Lowell Jackson, Curtis Corey, Cornelius Parrott and Tommy Elliott. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Adult Sunday School Class and Department 4 of the First Baptist Church.

Burial will be in the Barbourville City Cemetery. Freinds may call at the funeral home until the funeral hour.
