Posted at findagrave.com: Irwin L. "Irv" Carpenter, 89, of Florence passed away Monday, November 17, 2014 in Erlanger. He was a US Navy Veteran of WWII, and a member of Florence Christian Church. He had many jobs including owner of the Florence Cab Co.; worked for Southern Railroad, Greenline, Airport Transportation, and most recently he was in security at Rockwell, Int'l.
He was preceded in death by his wife Cora Fitzgerald Carpenter and former wife Mary Pilyer Carpenter. Survivors include daughters Debbie Wood of Florence and Karen Cutebirth of Latonia; step-daughters Donna Miller and Barbara Davis both of Florence; 3 Grandchildren, 6 Step-Grandchildren, 13 Great-grandchildren, and 2 Great-Great Grandchilden.
Visitation will be Wednesday, November 19, 2014 from 5 to 8 PM at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home of Florence. Funeral service will be 11 AM, Thursday, November 20, 2014 also at the funeral home. Burial will be at Hopeful Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Wounded Warrior Project Online condolences may be expressed at: www.chambersandgrubbs.com
