Funeral rites for Shirley Jean Kirkpatrick, 22, who died in a local hospital March 5, were conducted from Memorial Presbyterian church Sunday, March 8, by the Rev. R. E. Vandersall, pastor and interment was in Marysville cemetery. Born June 27, 1924, in St. Joseph, Mo., she was the daughter of Frederick and Goldie Kirkpatrick. After attending grade school and Bliss Junior high school in St. Joseph, she moved with her family to Home City in 1939, and to Marysville in 1942 when she was graduated from Marysville high school. Following her graduation here she was employed in the local office of Southwestern Bell Telephone company until her death. Surviving are her mother, Mrs. Goldie Kirkpatrick, Marysville, and one brother, Robert Kirkpatrick, Montezuma. Her father, one brother and one sister preceded her in death. She was a member of the Presbyterian church.
