The Marysville Advocate, Marysville, Kansas, November 11, 1943, Page 7, Col. 1: Former Resident Dies. Funeral for Miss Dorothy Kirkpatrick Held Last Thursday. Funeral rites for Miss Dorothy Kirkpatrick, who died in Kansas City the evening of November 2, were held at the Kinsley Chapel last Thursday afternoon, with burial in the Marysville cemetery. The Rev. Lowell Renberger, pastor of the Christian church officiated. Miss Kirkpatrick, a former resident of Marysville and Home City, died after a short illness. She had lived in Kansas City several months. She was born January 28, 1917 in St. Joseph, Mo., where she was graduated from Central high school. While in school she was active in sports and music. Surviving are her mother, Mrs. Goldie Kirkpatrick, Marysville; her sister, Miss Shirley Jean Kirkpatrick, Marysville; and her brother, Sgt. Robert S. Kirkpatrick, who is on overseas duty; and her grandmother, Mrs. Elizabeth Crawford, Marysville.
