Riverside Daily Press, Riverside, California, September 30, 1929, Page 2, Col. 7: Aged Woman Breaks hip Mrs. Sara A. Imus, 86, sustained a broken hip as a result of a fall in the garden of her home west of town last week. The elderly lady is a patient at the Valley hospital.

Hemet News, Hemet, California, Friday, October 4, 1929, Page 4, Col. 3: Aged Hemet Lady Dies After Fracture Of Hip. Mrs. Sarah Imus, 86, passed away Tuesday at the Valley Hospital where she had been ill for some time. Several weeks ago Mrs. Imus fell and fractured her hip, never fully recovering from the shock. Mrs. Imus came to California with the forty-niners, prior to which she lived in Arizona. While in Hemet she resided at the Four-Mile place. She is survived by a grandson living at Redondo Beach. Funeral services will be conducted Friday from the Cate Funeral parlors, Redondo. Roulston & Harford were in charge of arrangements here.
