Lexington Herald, Lexington, Kentucky, Tuesday, August 13, 1940, Page 11, Col. 6: Richmond, Ky., Aug. 12 (Special)---Funeral services were held this afternoon for Rufus Coyle, 70, retired Berea merchant, who died of a heart ailment Sunday at his home on the Scafford Cane road. Burial was in the Berea cemetery. Mr. Coyle is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mattie Hayes Coyle; a son, True Coyle of Berea; two sisters, Mrs. Laura Chrisman of New York and Miss Rena Coyle of Enid, Okla., and three brothers, John Coyle of Mitchell, Neb., Charles Coyle of New Albany, Ind., and Frank Coyle of Berea.
