Lexington Herald, Lexington, Kentucky, Wednesday, May 10, 1961, Page 14, Col. 4 & 5: Winchester, May 9---Thomas Jefferson Vivion, 83, of 206 East Hickman Street, a retired farmer, died at 11:05 a.m. today at the Clark County Hospital after a short illness. A native of Powell County, he was a member of the Log Lick Christian Church. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Georgia Engle Vivion: a daughter, Mrs. Elmer Woodsley, Winchester; a son, Robert S. Vivion, Winchester; two brothers, John G. Vivion, Minnesota, and Harvey Vivion, Lexington; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Scobee Funeral Home by the Rev. Raymond Smith, the Rev. J. I. Meyer and the Rev. Claude Shimfessel. Burial will be in the Clarmont Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Orville Vivion and Robert Ernest, Bush Stanley and Gordon Eades. Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Hisle, Joe Jefferson, Clyde Bush, Joe Dennis, Dr. J. A. Snowden, Virgil Finney, Foster Adams, R. E. Eades, Johnny Pace and Charley Baber. The body is at the funeral home.
