Mr. and Mrs. Stafford Leeds, 816 Myra street, announce the marriage of their granddaughter, Miss Elsie Grace Famuliner of Garden City, to Vernon Zimmerman of Garden city, son of Mrs. Agnes Zimmerman of Toluca, Ill.: The couple were married at 4 o'clock the afternoon of November 24 at the Christian church in Toluca by the pastor, the Rev. G. W. Crabtree. The bride was attended by Miss Ruth Shankton of Eureka, Ill. Mrs. Zimmerman wore a blue dress with wine accessories and Miss Shankton wore a black dress with white accessories. The bride attended Moberly schools and was graduated from the 10th grade here in 1938. The bridegroom was graduated from the Garden city High School. The couple are living in Eureka, Ill.

Death certificate indicates he was shot on the street in Kansas City and it was homicide.

Kansas City, Aug. 25 (AP) "I just shot a man over my wife." the police dispatcher was advised over the telephone today. At the scene, police found a man shot to death. He was identified as Vernon Zimmerman, about 30, of Garden City, Mo. Police took Charles Henry Finn, 24, who summond police, and his wife to the police station for questioning. Police said the Finns gave this account of the shooting: Zimmerman had been sitting in his convertible motor car in the front of the Finn home talking to them. An argument ensued and Finn went into the house, Mrs. Finn remaining to talk to Zimmerman. In a short time Finn came out of the house with a 12 gauge shotgun. Two shots were fired and Zimmerman was struck in the elbow, head and back.
