Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Munselle-Rhodes Funeral Home Chapel, Milton-Freewater, with the Rev. Richard Davidson of the First Christian Church officiating. Private interment will follow in the Milton-Freewater Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church through the funeral home.
Mrs. Hunter was born June 9, 1893, in Garrison, Ky. She attended scholls and lived there until her marriage to Virgil Liles in 1915. The couple moved to Northport, Wash., where they lived until her husband's death in 1925. She married Ira Lee Hunter in Wallace, Idaho, on Dec. 30, 1925. The couple moved to Sandpoint where they farmed prior to moving to Milton-Freewater in 1951. After her husband's death on March 17, 1971, Mrs. Hunter moved to Coquille to be near her son.
She was a member of the First Christian Church, Milton-Freewater. Mrs. Hunter is survived by one son, Vernon Liles of Coquille; one step-son, Carroll Hunter of Story City, Iowa; one step-daughter, Marjorie Short of Osceola, Iowa; three grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous step-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
