San Jose Mercury News, San Jose, California, Tuesday, July 21, 2009: Betty Houchin July 8, 1923 - July 17, 2009 Betty Houchin passed away peacefully in her sleep July 17, 2009. Betty was a former Los Gatos florist and resident. Preceded in death by husband Pelham. Survived by sister Doris Kuster and husband Fred and many loving step-children, grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at Terreno Gardens for their care and kindness to Betty and also Vitas Hospice Care. In lieu of flowers, contributions maybe sent to Vitas Hospice Care 39899 Belentina Dr. Suite 161 Newark, CA. 94560. A Rosary Service will be held Tuesday, June 21 at 7:00 p.m. at Darling-Fischer Chapel of the Hills 615 N. Santa Cruz Ave in Los Gatos. Visitation will take place from 4-8:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, June 22 at 11:00 a.m. at the above Chapel.
