Ottumwa Daily Courier, Ottumwa, Iowa, Monday, October 28, 1935, Page 3, Col. 3: Agency---George R. Rowland 79, died at his home in Agency about 3 p.m. Saturday. He had lived in Agency about forty years. Mr. Rowland is survived by his wife, Minerva, and seven children, Mrs. Eliza Canny of Eldon, Mrs. Lela Brewington, Ottumwa route 1, Mrs. Mabel Horton of Beardstown, Ill., Mrs. Aubrey Nevins of Moline, Ill., Mrs. Dale Allbright of Des Moines, Lester Rowland of Agency and Miss Marjorie Rowland of Des Moines. The body was removed from the Davidson funeral parlors at Batavia at 10 a.m. today and funeral were held in the agency Methodist Episcopal church at 2 o'clock this afternoon, in charge of the Rev. C. R. Reed. Burial was in the family lot at the Agency cemetery.
