Funeral services for Ernest Pierce Hillsman, 54, Waycross merchant who died at a local hospital Saturday morning, were held at Johnson Church near Athens Sunday afternoon at 6 o'clock, with burial at Johnson Cemetery, in Oconee county. The remains were sent to Athens Saturday night. He is survived by his wife, his mother, Mrs. Sara T. Hillman of Watkinsville; two brothers J. Marvin Hillsman and Joe M. Hillsman of Watkinsville and two sisters, Mrs. Pauline H. Bell and Mrs. W. L. Linenbohl of Watkinsville; also a grandson, Billie Ward, who made his home with Mr. and Mrs. Hillsman in Waycross. Miney Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
