Funeral service for Mrs Katie Hilsman, 75, who died Saturday night in a local hospital, following a brief illness, was held this morning in the Winona Park Methodist Church. Graveside service will be conducted today at 4 p. m. in the Johnson Church Cemetery near Watkinsville with the Rev. W. Eugene Allen officiating. Active pallbearers were Clyde Smith, Henry Smith, Ira Lee, J. W. Robinson, Sr., Joel Tanner and Joe C. Harper. A native of Watkinsville, Mrs. Hilsman had made her home in Waycross for the past several years. She was the daughter of the late S. P. Aycock and Fannie Julie Fambro Aycock and widow of E. P. Hilsman. She was a member of the Winona Park Methodist Church, the Fidelia Sunday School Class and the Women's Society of Christian Service. Survivors include four sisters, Miss Hallie Aycock, Miss Bessie Aycock, both of Maxeys, Ga., Mrs. Lelia Scott of Atlanta, and Mrs. Blanche Locke of Elberton; one brother, Pearle Aycock of Mayeys [Maxeys]; one grandson, Billy Ward of Jesup; one great granddaughter, and a number of nieces and nephews. Miles-Odum Funeral Home was in charge.
