Obituary from http://www.parkerfuneralservice.com. Lawrence Kenneth Allen, 76 of Columbia passed away Monday, September 20, 2010. Services will be held at 10 am, Friday, September 24, 2010 at Parker Funeral Service. Kenneth was born May 23, 1934 in Hammond, IN to Charles Hardin and Mary Helen Lawrence Allen. He married Bonnie Sue Ponder on June 1, 1952 and she survives. Kenneth graduated in 1952 from Doniphan High School in Doniphan, MO. He served with the US Army Reserves for over 20 years retiring in 1980. He worked for many years at Bourn Feed where he was known as “Major”. Survivors include: his wife, Bonnie Sue of Columbia; three sons, Lawrence K. Allen, Jr. and wife Joeanna of Huber Heights, OH, Kraig Allen and wife Lisa of Tampa, FL and Kerry W. Allen of Columbia and three grandchildren, Gregory S. Allen, Garrett C. Allen and Chad T. Allen. He was preceded in death by his parents.
