Born in Santa Cruz 61 years ago, Shirley was a lifetime resident of Santa Cruz and a third generation native. Her last great-grandchild was born on the day of her death, making the fifth great-grandchild of this 6th living generation of native-born Santa Cruzans. Shirley is survived by three daughters, Charlotte Giovinazzo, Jeanie Sandoval and Victoria Deveny, all of Santa Cruz; two sons , Abraham Gibson and Ray Gibson, both of Fort Bragg; two sisters, Nancy Crafton and Grace Gospodnetich, both of Santa Cruz; and two brothers, Louis Hosier of Fort Bragg and Edward Hosier of Guerneville. Shirley had 16 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, all of Santa Cruz. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends who will miss her greatly. A Memorial Service will be held at Norman's Family Chapel, 3620 Soquel Dr., Soquel, CA on Thursday, January 27, 1994 at 1 :00 p.m.
