Grandview Tribune, Grandview, Texas, Friday, February 7, 1992, Page 3, Col. 3 & 4: Funeral services for Benny Briscoe, 60, of Cleburne, were held Thursday, January 30, 1992 at Crosier-Pearson-Mayfield Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Covington Cemetery. Mr. Briscoe died Tuesday. He was born July 27, 1931 in Sand Flat, the son of Richard Lee and Ruby Gladys Hall Briscoe. He married Patsy Jean McDonald in Hillsboro April 20, 1952. Briscoe was of the Church of Christ faith and served in the National Guard and Reserves. He was Commissioner of Precinct 4. He is survived by his wife, Patsy Jean Briscoe, Cleburne; three sons, Ricky Lee Briscoe, Danny Earl Briscoe, and Jacky Dale Briscoe, all of Cleburne; one daughter, Kelly Annette Rose, Cleburne; his father, Richard Lee Briscoe of Cleburne; three brothers, Marvin Dale Briscoe, Cleburne; Frank Briscoe, Dublin; Jack Briscoe, Fort Worth and seven grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers were Ron Harmon, Bobby Estes, Jack Hewlett, Joe Durham, Kenneth Ketron and Dale Hanna.
