(17 Feb 1893 - 25 Jul 1943)
Posted at findagrave.com: Classon Parkhurst, 50, died at his home at Springfield, New Jersey, Sunday from a heart attack, according to word sent his brother, George Parkhurst, at Mitchell. Classon suffered a similar attack five years ago, and while he rallied, had been in poor health since. He was born at Seattle, Washington, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Parkhurst. He attended the Osage high school. For a number of years he was a salesman and lived at Minneapolis for a time; then he went east and had spent some years at Philadelphia, Pa., and Boston, Mass. Until failing health prevented two years ago, he was a club house manager at Springfield. Just recently he had improved and had taken a position in a defense plant. His marriage to a Minneapolis young woman took place in 1921. She survives him; also his brothers, George, mentioned above, and Clark, who is in the west. His mother died three years ago; his father in 1933. Funeral services were held at Boston, Massachusetts, and burial was in a cemetery nearby. Source: Mitchell County Press-News, July 1943.
