Parkhurst, 82, died Tuesday morning at the home of her son, G. H. Parkhurst at Mitchell following a long illness. Mrs. Parkhurst was born on a farm in Chickasaw county and had lived in and around Mitchell all of her life with the exception of a few years spent in the west. She was married in June 1889 to Arthur W. Parkhurst at Seattle, Wash., who preceded her in death. She is survived by three sons, George H. [of] Mitchell, Clason, Philadelphia, Pa., and Clark of Portland, Ore., two grandchildren, George Parkhurst Jr., Mitchell and Mrs. Lucille Paulos, Lincoln, Nebr. The funeral will be held Thursday at 3 p.m. at the Shelledy funeral home in Osage and burial will be made in the family lot at Osage. The Rev. H. F. Hisse will be in charge of the services.
