The Salina Journal, Salina, Kansas, Monday, October 31, 1988, Page 9, Col. 2: Ruth Mary Rupp. Norton---Ruth Mary Rupp, 90, Norton, died Saturday, Oct. 29, 1988 at Norton County Hospital. Mrs. Rupp was born Ruth Mary Clason on May 21, 1898, at Long Island. She had been a resident of Norton since 1977, moving from the Long Island area. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Long Island united Methodist Church and the church Missionary Society. Her husband, Henry, died in 1976. Survivors include two sons, Richard Claire Rupp of Dorrance and Clason Rupp of Oak Grove, Mo.; a daughter, Mary Beth Johnson of Norcatur; a stepson Everett Rupp of Coupeville, Wash.; two sisters Catherine Debb of Ceres, Calif., and Shirley Crammer of Central Point, Ore.; eight grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. The funeral will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at the United Methodist Church, the Rev. Kevin Williams officiating. Burial will be in Long Island Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the church. Visitation will be until service time at the Enfield Funeral Home, Norton.
