Snider, Clarence C., Private, son of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Snider, Palmyra, was born at Pine Camp, [Keya Paha County] Nebraska, October 11, 1887. Entered the service at Camp Funston, Kan., September 5, 1917. Served in France. Machine Gun Company, 355th Infantry. Is now in Army of Occupation. Snider, World War I veteran of the 355th Machine Gun Company, 89th Division, who died Tuesday morning at the Lincoln Veterans hospital after a long illness. Mr. Snider, who moved to Palmyra at 13, was active in the American Legion. He was born at Springview, Neb., Oct. 11, 1887, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Snider. He married Margaret Lyster June 23, 1944. Surviving are daughters, Mrs. Phyllis Thomas, Omaha, and Miss Catheryne Snider, Boise, Idaho, and two sons, Clarence Jr. and Daniel, of Boise. Also surviving are five step children, one grandchild, and a sister, Mrs. Ella Gould, Palmyra. He was preceded by his parents, a son, George, and a sister. Tonsing and Wemple in charge.
