Everett John Ford, 85, from Eureka, California, passed away January 13th, 2014 peacefully in his home in Salem, Oregon surrounded by his family to go be with Jesus. Everett was born in Westport, California of Mendocino County on May 8th, 1928 to John and Hattie Ford. Everett retired from Humboldt Creamery in 1990, after working with them for 39 years. He spent his life being an incredible family man and showing his unconditional love. Dad/ grandpa has left us a legacy to pass down for generations. Spending time with his kids, grandkids and great grandkids was the highlight of his life. Grandpa each year enjoyed sharing a birthday cake with his birthday present Julia who which was his first grandchild born on his birthday. He attended Salem Alliance church in Salem, Oregon, where he enjoyed the community group and services. He is survived by his 6 children, Dale Ford and his wife Dena, Cathy Gutierrez and her husband Jamie, Darrell Ford, Delora Kahoalii and her partner Gordon, Craig Ford and his wife Kim, and Paul Ford and his wife Barbie. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Julia Tejeda and her husband Hector, John Crosswhite and his wife Jennifer, Paul Crosswhite and his wife Julie, Lori and Erin Ford, Tasha, Kathleen, Joseph, Heather, and Jessica Kahoalii, Samantha Deitering and her husband Steven, Justin Ford and his wife Lisa, Spencer and Kip Ford, Jimmy Garcia, Cathy Romero, Diana Arrison, Debbie Walton, Nathan and Amanda. Also great grandchildren Lexi and Nick Tejeda, Logan and Autumn Crosswhite, Hunter and Macie Crosswhite, Jazmine Ford, Makoa , Nathaniel , Elijah Kahoalii, and Aidyn and Niqi Deitering, and numerous nieces and nephews. Also two special sister- in-laws Pat Robinson and Gladys Washington. Everett was preceded in death by the mother of his children former wife Paula Mae Brauner, and son-in-law John Crosswhite, Also his parents John and Hattie Ford, his siblings Gertrude Rader, Myrtle Stemberger, Charles Ford, David Ford, Edward Ford, and Marvin Ford. Also great-great nephew Brayden Ford. There will be a visitation on Friday, January 17th from 1pm-6pm at Pierces Mortuary, 707 H St. Eureka, CA. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, January 18th at 10:00 am at Pierces Mortuary followed by a graveside service at Ocean View Cemetery mausoleum. Pallbearers will be John Crosswhite, Logan Crosswhite, Paul Crosswhite, Joesph Kahoalii, Larry Ford, and Travis Ford. Honorary Pall- bearers will be Tim Ford, Randy Ford, and Hunter Crosswhite.
