Alice Avis Hunnel

Funeral services for Alice Avis Beaver, 78, were held Thursday, March 20, 1997, at 2 p.m. at the Earl O. Winberg Farm, 53 Winberg Road, Chugwater, Wyoming with ministers Gary Paul and Norm Tindall. Interment was in the Iowa Flats Cemetery near Chugwater. Mrs. Beaver died Monday, March 17, 1997, at the family home near Chugwater. Alice was born May 11, 1918, in Burns, Wyoming, the daughter of Walter and Alice (Noice) Hunnel. She was reared and educated east of Indian Hill. On July 1, 1937 she married Buford R. Beaver in Fort Collins, Colorado. Alice resided with her husband at Heart Bent Arrow Ranch, 15 miles east of Chugwater, until ;the time of her death. Mrs. Beaver belonged to a Christian Fellowship; and enjoyed painting, sewing, embroidery, crocheting, spending time with her family, gardening, and raising and caring for her flowers and plants. She is survived by her husband, Buford of Chugwater; five children, Charles Beaver and wife, Annie of Kimball, Nebraska, Dora Eickbush and husband John of Chugwater, Elmer Beaver and wife, Noaleen of Chugwater, Earnest Beaver and wife, Phyllis of Hoquiam, Washington and Bonnie Jordan and husband, Carl , of Waco, Texas; two sister and one brother, Leslie Hunnel of Leavenworth, Kansas, Fern Young of Kingman, Arizona and Nola Lamar of Quinlan, Texas; three sisters-in-law, Pearl Hunnel of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Vivian Hunnel of Cheyenne, Wyoming, and Eleanor Hunnel of Johnstown, Nebraska; sixteen grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and a host of friends and relatives. Alice was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Harold Evert and Charles Hunnel; and one grandson, Aaron Owen. Serving as Pallbearers were Dan Jackson, Warren Jackson, Virgil Jackson, Tim Ash, Urie Buhl, Merlin Buhl, Larry Day and Wallace Newton. Honorary Pallbearers were Rob Lovato, Dan Fortik, John Eickbush, Walter Eden, Gregg Eriesen, Carl Jordan, Curtis Jordan and Dirk Chapman. Memorial to the Chugwater ambulance fund, in care of the Town of Chugwater, PO Box 243, Chugwater, Wyoming 82210 would be appreciated by the family. The Platte Funeral Chapel of Wheatland was in charge of the arrangements. Obituary provided by Chugwater Public Library.
