Gyneth Mae Clason

(23 Sep 1933 - 11 Sep 2014)

Madison Wisconsin State Journal, Madison, Wisconsin, Wednesday, September 17, 2014, Page 7, Col. 3: Madison/Richland Center---Gyneth Mae Clason, age 80, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 11, 2014, at her home in Central Wisconsin Center Madison after a valiant life-long challenge with numerous physical difficulties. She was born on Sept. 23, 1933, in Richland Center, the daughter of Milton and Madaline (Bailey) Clason. At an early age it became necessary for Gyneth to live at Northern Wisconsin Center until 1967, when she went to live at Northern Wisconsin Center, which was very much her home until she passed away. Although unable to speak verbally, Gyneth was able to communicate very clearly by expression, and especially her eyes, with those who know her, it was surely evident that she had a strong personality and a dry sense of humor. Gyneth is survived by her sister, Kay Clason Dosch of Soldiers Grove; five nieces and nephews, Wayne (Colleen) Dosch, Frank (Becki) Dosch and Jackie (Roberto) Castillo, all of Minnesota [should probably be Wisconsin]; Diana (Gary) Pings of Prairie du Sac and Paul Cockroft of Sauk City, seven great-nieces and nephews; and her extended family at Central Wisconsin Center who cared for her needs with great compassion and affectionately called her "Grandma" because she was the oldest resident there.
