John Hope Kirkpatrick

They moved to Decatur County, IN. John was bondsman for the marriage of his brother Josiah to Nancy (Chowning) Telford in 1819 in Wilson County, TN. Along with his brother Josiah, John served in the Seminole War in 1818 under Andrew Jackson. National Archives record that "John H. Killpatrick" served as a private in Barton's 1st Volunteer Mounted Gunmen of West Tennessee.
