Glendale, Apr. 9---George Marion Kirkpatrick died Tuesday night at his home on East A avenue and 11th avenue. He was born April 4, 1871 in Benton, Illinois, coming to Arizona 20 years ago. He had been a Glendale resident for 20 years. He had been a member of the Church of Christ since he was 12 years of age. His wife, Dora Kirkpatrick passed away December 1, 1946. He is survived by 10 children: three sons; Emory of Buckner, Ill., Edward and Marion , both of Glendale; seven daughters, Irmal Swisher of Mulkeytown, Ill., Nancy Thompson of Glendale, Ruby Whitlow of Christopher, Ill., Lou Gregory of Mulkeytown, Beulah Stubbins of Glendale, Marie Parkinson of Sessor, Ill., and Claudney Stevens of Natoma, Kansas; two sisters, Elizabeth Linden and Pollie Bollin both of Christopher, 30 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Tentative funeral services conducted by Kenneth Engle will be at 2 p.m. Saturday from the Church of Christ in Glendale. Interment will be in Glendale Memorial Park. G. I. Leonard is in charge of arrangements.
