Riverside Daily Press, Riverside, California, March 26, 1930, Page 17: Mason Terpening Buried At Corona. Corona, March 26.--Private funeral services were conducted by Rev. Ray Willing Smith at Sunnyslope cemetery this forenoon for Mason Terpening, who passed away at the Patton hospital Sunday night. Mr. Terpening was a Corona pioneer and had held many positions of honor and trust in the community. He was at one time cashier of the Citizens bank and later held a like position with the old Corona National bank. Several years ago he was active in Masonic work and was worshipful master of Temescal lodge. A musician of ability, he was leader of the municipal band for a long time. Among other positions of trust which he occupied was that of city clerk. He was a man of marked business ability and met with considerable success until he became afflicted.
