Heart Attack Fatal to Former Greene Hardware Man, Banker at Home in Mason City. A. H. Nolterieke, Former Greene Business man, died at his home in Mason City on Saturday afternoon about 1:00 o'clock following a short illness. Heart trouble was given as the cause of his death. Mr. Nolterieke, with his brother, William Nolterieke, owned a hardware store in Greene about 20 years ago. He also established a plumbing and heating business, he sold to Dan Feyereisen, who continues to operate the business. When the Merchants' National bank was established, Mr. Nolterieke became cashier of the bank and continued in this office until it closed about 17 years ago. He was born March 8, 1878 at Charles City, the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Nolterieke. He was married to Elva Reynolds in Greene June 18, 1907. Surviving are his wife, three daughters, Mrs. Donald Doolittle and Mrs. Mike Balahan of Mason City, and Mrs. R. C. Ufford of Medford, Oregon, and a son, L. R. Nolterieke of Emmetsburg. There are also seven grandchildren and a brother, Wesley Nolterieke of Denver, Colorado. three are also seven grandchildren and a brother, Wesley Nolterieke of Denver, Colorado. Three brothers and a sister preceded Mr. Nolterieke in death. Mr. Nolterieke was a salesman for a hardware and appliance supply company in Waterloo. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at a Mason City funeral home with the Rev. Earle A. Baker of Cedar Falls, district superintendent of the Methodist church in charge. Burial was made in the Elmwood cemetery, Mason City.
