Posted at findagrave.com: The Southern Illinoisan, Friday, March 8, 1968, Former Sesser Woman Dies in Ottumwa, Iowa. Mrs. Noie Kirkpatrick, 79, formerly of Sesser, died Thursday in Ottumwa, Iowa. She was born Dec, 1, 1888, in Marion County, daughter of David and Catherine Winemiller Whitlow. Mrs, Kirkpatrick leaves her sons, Edward of Sesser, Glen of Orlando, Fla.; daughters, Mrs. Mary Harris of Ottumwa, Iowa, Mrs. Syble Heiple of Du Quoin and Mrs, Irene Sample of Sesser; and a brother, David Whitlow of Whittington. She was preceded in death by her husband, W. E. Kirkpatrick, who died in 1930. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday in the Horse Prairie Baptist Church near Sesser, with the Rev. E. A. Somers officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Sunday at the Brayfield Funeral Home, Sesser.
