Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 7, 2008 in the chapel of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Pursley officiating. A private family interment will follow under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls. A son of the late Charles Maryland and Marie Ethel (Crutcher) Bellows, he was born September 7, 1925 in Bonham, Texas. On February 14, 1953, he married Verma Jean Rhudy in Bells, Texas. He proudly served our country in the United States Navy as a Boatswain's Mate Second Class SV-6. He later retired from Civil Service at Sheppard Air Force Base. He was a member of Westside Baptist Church, the Masonic Lodge #1287, and the Boy Scouts of America Troop 6. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Verma Jean Bellows; his son, Marshall Lynn Bellows both of Wichita Falls; his daughter, Denise Renee May and husband Chet of San Antonio; two sisters, Charline Jenkins and Melba Joyce Wyatt both of Wichita Falls; three grandchildren, Allison Terrill and husband Chuck of Keller, Chase May of Lubbock, and Peyton May of San Antonio; and two great grandsons, Baylee Hunter Meacham and Jack-Henry Terrill.
