Sidney Robert Timbrook, who lived at 427 State, died Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at St. Mary's hospital. He was a farmer and stockman, having been retired for eight years. Mr. Timbrook was born October 24, 1857, in Carroll county, Missouri, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Timbrook. He married Gertrude Seitter in Plymouth, Mo., May 24, 1888. They moved to Emporia in 1915. Surviving Mr. Timbrook are his wife of the home; two sons, Virgil E. Timbrook, 1568 West Sixth and Laurence V. Timbrook, 477 Neosho; one brother, Rice B. Timbrook, of Braymer, Mo.; one sister, Mrs. Clara Hatton, of Bartow, Fla.; and two granddaughters. One daughter, Sylvia S. Timbrook, died in 1902. He was a member of the First Baptist church. Funeral services for Sidney Timbrook, who lived at 427 State were held this morning at 10 o'clock at the Roberts-Fine funeral home. The Rev. Orlie Wilbur, pastor of the First Baptist church, was in charge of the services. Graveside services will be held Saturday afternoon at 1 o'clock at the Evergreen cemetery in Braymer, Mo. Mrs. Laurence Waters and Wallace Nelson sang, accompanied by Mrs. Glenn A Blue.
