Kansas City Star, Kansas City, Missouri, May 10, 1977 (Tuesday), Page 5 B: Mrs. W. B. Cross. Mrs. Pauline l. Cross, 76, of 8409 Mastin Road, Overland Park, died Monday at St. Luke's Hospital. She was born in Hutchinson, Kan., and had lived in this area since 1943. She was a member of the Olathe First United Presbyterian Church. Mr. Cross was a co-owner of the Beck-Cross hotel chain 14 years before she retired in 1952. She was a member of the Saddle and Sirloin Club. She leaves her husband, W. B. Cross of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Lorene C. Piper, Scottsdale, Ariz., and three grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Newcomer Overland Park Chapel; burial in Mount Moriah Cemetery. Friends may call from 6:30 to 8 p.m. tonight at the chapel. The family requests no flowers and suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society.
