Obituary from Wichita Eagle, Monday, July 22, 1985: Newton---Ruby E. Kirkpatrick, 77, retired nurses' aide, died Sunday. Service 10 a.m. Wednesday. Draper-Cannon Funeral Home. Survivors: sons, John of Dodge City, Ronald of Florence, Gary of Newton; daughter, Evelyn Sidener of Burns; sisters, Ruth Edward of Portland, Ore., Dorothy Cummings and Irene Knowles of Newton; seven grandchildren. Memorials have been established with the Alzheimer's and Similar Diseases Foundation and the Peabody Memorial Nursing Home.
