Mannix, 61, who died at his home yesterday after complaining of stomach pains and short breath. Mannix, who lived at the rear of the Palms Auto court on Highway 9, died about 6 p.m. His wife, Mamie, summoned a Niles physician who notified sheriff's deputies.

Fremont---Services will be held for Joseph Vincent Mannix, 61, of Niles, at 10 a.m. tomorrow from the Chapel of Palms, 160 South Main street, Centerville. Mr. Mannix, a native of Livermore, died Tuesday. A retired foreman in the state highway department, he had lived in the area more than 10 years. He leaves his wife, Mamie, a son Daniel of San Francisco, a brother, John of Livermore, and two sisters, Mrs. Katherine Bowles and Ussula Mannix, both of Petaluma. Interment will be at the Golden Gate National cemetery in San Bruno.
