Born July 27, 1885, he was a lifelong area resident. Mr. Shepard was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He is survived by two sons, Lyle, Cape Coral, Florida, Laverne, Westfield; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mable, in 1973. Funeral services will be held at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 1904 Winnebago St., at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, November 25. The Rev. Carroll N. Anderson officiating. Burial in Blooming Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-9 p.m. on Mon., Nov. 24, at the Schroeder Funeral Home, 3325 E. Washington Ave.
