Herb Defabaugh passed away April 13, 1959 at his home in Harrington. He was stricken with arthritis several years ago. Last week he had the flu which aggravated his condition. Lately he had been in constant pain. Interment was in Hillcrest Cemetery. Surviving Mr. Defabaugh are his wife, Hazel, and daughter, Cleda (Mrs. Philip Klett), Jean (Mrs. Ernest Davis), Glenna (Mrs. Chester Timm), and Dolores Defabaugh; six brothers, Harvey, Earl, Ernest, Benton, Dave and Walter; 2 sisters, Mrs. Cora Agin and Mrs Helen Wolf. Noah Herbert Dafabaugh was born March 27, 1891 at Tempton, MO. His parents were Rosa and Marques Defabaugh. Herb came to Harrington in 1911 and worked mainly at the L P Turner ranch. Oct 15, 1917 Herb and Miss Hazel Mae Burge were married. Five daughters were born to them. Sharon Rae preceded him in death. The Defabaughs have farmed 5 miles west of town 28 years. (Apr 24, 1959)
