Daily American Republic, Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Thursday, July 24, 1975, Page 6, Col. 4: Rombauer--Henry Buchanan, an 88 -year-old retired farmer of Rombauer died at 10 p.m. at Alton, Ill. Mr. Buchanan was born Aug. 23, 1906 [1886], in Pike County, Ill. He married the former Miss Gertrude Ham. She died in 1941. He was a member of the Rombuer Union Church. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Beulah Henderson and Mrs. Elsie Herbstreit, both of Alton, Ill., and Mrs. Edith Moon of Kemper, Ill.; five sons, Lonnie Buchanan of Branson, Grover Buchanan of Madison, Ill., John Buchanan of Alton, Ill., Fred Buchanan of Rombauer and Virgil Buchanan of Carrellton, Ill.; and one brother, Harvey Buchanan of Poplar Bluff. His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Rombuer Union Church with the Rev. Chester Hamm presiding. Burial will be in the Rombauer Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Friday at the White's Funeral Home at Fisk.
