Rapid City Journal, Rapid City, South Dakota, August 13, 2003: STURGIS - Jessie M. Gifford, 80, Sturgis and formerly of Marcus, died Monday, Aug. 11, 2003, at Sturgis Long Term Care Center. Survivors include one son, Arthur Gifford, Boulder Canyon; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and one sister, Ruth Gilman, Presho. Her husband, Dallas Gifford, preceded her in death. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 14, at Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis, and for one hour before services Friday, Aug. 15, at First Presbyterian Church in Sturgis. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the church, with the Rev. Harold Delbridge officiating. Burial will be at 4:30 p.m. CDT at Kennebec Cemetery.
