Rapid City Journal, Rapid City, South Dakota, May 6, 2004: Kennebec---Ruth Gilman, 88, Kennebec, died Tuesday, May 4, 2004, at McKennan Hospice Care Unit in Sioux Falls. Survivors include four children, Bill Gilman and Jim Gilman, both of Kennebec, Ron Gilman, Fort Pierre, and Alyce McKay, Sioux Falls; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; five stepgreat-grandchildren; and two stepgreat-great-grandchildren. Her husband, Arthur Gilman, preceded her in death. A prayer service will be at 8 p.m. CDT Friday, May 7, at United Methodist Church in Kennebec. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 8, at the church. Burial will be at Kennebec Cemetery. Wevik Funeral Home of Chamberlain is in charge of arrangements.
