Arroyo Grande---Mrs. Etta Arline Brisco, 73, well known pioneer resident of this district, died Sunday night at her home on Mill street from a heart ailment. Mrs. Brisco, who had been in failing health for several years, was a native of Iowa. She was born Etta Channer, May 30, 1866 and in 1887 was married in Iowa to Charles Brisco. She had resided in California for 43 years and had made her home for the past 37 years in this section. Four years ago Mrs. Brisco moved to Paso Robles for her health, returning to Arroyo Grande a short time ago. Mr. Brisco died in 1923 [1924].

Surviving relatives are one son, Leo Brisco, two daughters, Mrs. Georgia Oakley and Mrs. Marietta Bosch*, all of Arroyo Grande; three grandchildren, Mrs. Daisy Rovenstine of Paso Robles, Robert Oakley of San Diego and Charlotte Oakley of Arroyo Grande; two great-grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Bertha Smith of Richmond, Neb. Funeral servicde will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Wood Funeral chapel. Interment will be in Arroyo Grande cemetery.

Marietta is the daughter of Georgia, not her sister.
