The Daily Oklahoman, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, March 11, 1996: Ristine, Thaine Warren, of 1108 E. Edwards, Edmond, OK passed away Friday evening, March 8, 1996 at Horizon Speciality Hospital at the age of 79 years. He was born to Cecil and Elsie Ristine on December 23, 1916 in Cozad, Nebraska. He was baptized into Christ as a young man and at the time of his passing was an active member of the Memorial Road Church of Christ. He served our Lord in many ways, including serving as an Elder in the Church of Christ in Gothenburg, Nebraska, teaching Bible classes, and meeting the needs of others. He was married to Mildred Lomax on October 31, 1942 and to this union four children were born. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. The pride of his life was his grandchildren and great-grandchild, who provided h im many hours of enjoyment and pleasure. Survivors include his wife, a brother, his four children and their families: Mildred Ristine, Burton Ristine, Dick and Dorothy Whitley, Larry and Diana Ristine, Brian and Ruth Smith, Linda Muston, 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 12th at 10:00 a.m. at the Memorial Road Church of Christ with Kent Allen and Howard Norton officiating. Congregational singing will be led by James Waugh.
