Laura Olean "Bam" Reeves, 84 year old Eufaula resident, died Thursday, March 19, 2009 in Eufaula, OK. She was born on Monday, February 2, 1925 in San Diego, CA. to James and Laura Sparks Cowan. As a small child, she moved with her family to Fame/Stidham area where she received her education. She met, fell in love and later married Delmer Reeves on Saturday, April 12, 1941. Olean was a homemaker and she enjoyed reading, sewing & fishing. She attended the Baptist Church as a small child in California. Olean was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Delmer Reeves on January 4, 1992; Seven Brothers & Sisters. She is lovingly survived by her children, Yvonne Pence and her husband Jim of Sallisaw, OK., and Randell Reeves and his wife Barbara of Vian, OK; Ten grandchildren, Christi Tedlock & husband David of Henryetta, OK., Tiffany Francis & husband Terry of Eufaula, OK., that she raised in her home; Ken Pence & wife Lori of Ozark, AR., Lori Harvell & husband Barry of Ponca City, Ok., Roger Pence & wife Carla of Sallisaw, Becky Reeves, LaDonna Luke & husband Jimmy Don, Randy Reeves & wife Joni and Clark Reeves all of Checotah, Jimmy Reeves and wife Miranda of Lexington, Tn.; Sister-in-law, Dorothy Cowan of Henryetta and Brother-in-law, Herman Reeves of Tulsa. Twenty-six Great-grandchildren & Two Great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at Greenwood Cemetery Pavilion with Reverend Chuck Tankersley, officiating.
