Born February 3rd, 1926 to Stephen Franklin Cowan and Edna Gertrude Wylie Cowan in Henryetta, Oklahoma. Survivors include her daughters; Sherry Lunsford of Wewoka, Mary Lunsford Smith and husband Allen of Davenport, her son James Lunsford of Wewoka, brother; Carlon Cowan of Arkansas, 5 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren. Preceding her in death are her husband, Douglas Lunsford, her parents, brothers; Milam Cowan, Stephen Cowan, and Russell Cowan, son; John Lunsford, granddaughter; Lorie Smith, and grandson; Paul Lunsford. Funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday March 27, 2014 at Stout-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Pallbearers are Brent Cowan, Josh Lunsford, Hunter Lunsford, John Haller, and Lee McElroy. Services are under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home.
