Gilbert, Arizona- William P. Garner, 91, passed away Wednesday, May 27th 2015 at the Gilbert Mercy Hospital following a mini stroke and heart attack. He leaves his wife of 72 years, Diane Garner and his sons; Christian Vanderham and Patrick Garner along with grandchildren and many other loved ones. William, whom went mostly by Bill, should be remembered most for the incredible way he lived his life. Not many can even compare to the kind of Man, Husband, and Father he was. After taking in two young boys while in his 60's, he was to say the least, quite the giving man. Bill worked very hard most of his life, he worked as a Lineman and was quite amazing at it too! He saw Arizona far before its lands were covered in buildings and roads. Once he retired, he spent most of his days enjoying life with his wonderful wife and her two boys. Bill was a simple man that just loved being home, having a few beers, a home-made cooked meal and reading his newspaper. That is what we loved most about him, he was so easy to please, always happy and at ease. He will be greatly missed by many but we know that he's in Heaven riding horses, fishing, and just relaxing awaiting to see us again! As Bill said on his last few days here, Just get rid of it and forget about it! Even on his last days, he was making causing laughter and keeping it simple! We are doing just that, keeping it simple. There will be a simple Celebration of Life held at his son, Christian Vanderham's home Saturday, June 6th at 2 pm.
