San Luis Obispo Daily Telegram. San Luis Obispo, California, Monday, October 4, 1943, Page 6: Mae W. Brisco Dies in S.L.O. Mae W. Brisco, 46, wife of Verne C. Brisco, Sr., well known florist and nurseryman of this city, died Sunday morning at a local hospital, from a sudden attack of a former illness. Mrs. Brisco a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Albert Webber of Grand Forks, N. D. , was born in that city of Dec. 16, 1896. She married Verne C. Brisco at Minneapolis, Minn., in 1920 and they made their home in Minneapolis until 1925 when they moved to San Luis Obispo. Surviving Mrs. Brisco besides her husband andone son Verne C. Brisco, Jr., in the U. S. Navy for the past two years, are the following sisters and brothers; Mrs. Herman Friend of Minneapolis, Mrs. Thomas Williams of Long Beach, Calif., Mrs. Fred Oehring, of Lakefield, Minn., Mrs. Ray Hodgson and Ralph Webber of Grants Pass, Ore., Paul Webber in the Veterans hospital at St. Cloud, Minn., and Albert Webber of Minneapolis. Services will be held in the R. F. Richardson Funeral home, Wednesday at 2 p.m. Dr. Frederick J. Hart, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, will officiate. Mrs. Briscoe was an active member of the Women's Auxiliary of the American Legion Post No. 66.
